~ What Is It Like In Your Bubble Today?

Happy Energy Bubble

Have you ever noticed how on certain days you can take a perceived insult with a grain of salt and other days it gnaws at you to no end? Do you sometimes feel like you pick up the negative mood of a person around you? Are there times when you are so in the zone you feel like you are glowing from the inside out?

All of those questions pertain to what I like to think of as our energy bubble. Some might refer to it as an aura, energy field or etheric body. I think of it as loving cocoon that surrounds me in a spiritual way. When my soul’s energy is pure, clear and high, no matter what life seems to throw my way, I manage to find a type of grace to deal with it. When I let that loving energy get too low, the same incidents and experiences are more difficult to manage in a healthy or compassionate way.

I love how Betty Bethards spoke to it in her book Techniques For Health & Wholeness.

“But what is energy? It is the life force, the healing energy, kundalini, prana, holy spirit or whatever you want to call it. The ancient Hawaiians called it mana, the Chinese knew it as chi, and it has been known in almost every ancient tradition. It permeates all life, it IS life, and fills the universe. It is the essence of our beings. It is the God energy or love energy. Call it what you will, but how you use and process it determines how you experience reality.”

When you align your thoughts to being open to having a different experience of reality and encourage that precious energy to flow through and around you it invites more joy, grace, patience and confidence to come into your life. Small matters stay small, larger ones are greeted from a place of strength.

I advocate taking your bubble’s temperature often. Just check in with yourself when you seem to be taking things personally or being what some would call thin-skinned. Get quiet and ask questions. Am I drained? Do I need a grown up time out? Have I been meditating? Am I allowing worry or regret to lower my energy today? Address the answers with love and the proper attention and you can feel your bubble get brighter and stronger. You aren’t open to the negativity and it bounces off the bubble and searches for another target.

Ways to Keep Your Energy Bubble Happy:

  • Follow your passion and purpose, be authentically you
  • Meditate in a way that is personal and meaningful to you whether that is a formal method or simply taking time to embrace the feeling of being connected and grounded
  • Chakra work and energy healing such as reiki and accupuncture
  • Pray or connect to the universe in such a way that you feel heard
  • Spend time in nature where wonder and gratitude live
  • Honor the spirit in you through words and deeds
  • Remember you are a blessed child of the universe and will be supported

There are a thousand more ways that are as individual to us as our own lives are but, that high quality energy is available to surround, uplift, protect and comfort us at any given time. Think about how things look through a bubble. They are magnified. Fill it to the brim with love and that’s what will filter your vision of the world. Nurture it and see how reality looks from inside your very own happy bubble.

Thoughts to ponder: Is it happy in your bubble? Why or why not?

    clearlycomposed,

I like the ideas in this post – I’m not so much visual, but the concept I use that is similar is detachment. I am responsible only for my thoughts, feelings, and actions, and others are responsible for theirs. My spirit is separate from theirs – though still loving – at a physical level, we separate at our skin, at a psychic level, I stop where my responsibility ends. It’s given me the ability to stay positive in the midst of others’ negativity, and not to take on others’ moods. So it’s a way I protect my thin skin without putting on armor, if you will.

Thanks for such a lovely, thoughtful, and insightful post.

This is so true and our perspective on the same exact thing can change so much from day to day (or minute to minute)! Great post!

Right now my bubble is quite happy! But I know I have my moments. I do make a real effort to not let the little things get me down.

BUBBLES! I love it. I agree – our perspective or the level of energy in our energy bubble completely colors our experience of what we call reality. If you have watched Lost then you are still wondering what reality is? Hee. Hee. Thank you for a wonderful post.

It really does feel like a personal bubble, your identified it perfectly, – and yes somedays nothing can enter the bubble and other days uninvited negativity just enters on in. I really appreciate the questions “Am I drained? Do I need a grown up time out? Have I been meditating? Am I allowing worry or regret to lower my energy today? ” Those can definitely alert us to make adjustments.
I really like the bubble visual!!! Today my bubble is happy.

My bubble is not so happy … and for the very simple reason that to not a darn thing on your list of questions could I answer yes to. Oooo, not so good. :(

Hopefully will get my mojo back in a few days. For now, am just going to enjoy the quiet of the next hour.

Thank you for your posts that both challenge and affirm me.

    Hi cc,
    how are you?
thanks for sharing this inspiring post on our energy bubbles.
it’s a fascinating concept and if i may add please, another way to keep our energy bubble happy is to appreciate who we are and not be too hard on ourselves.
take care and enjoy the rest of the day

I am very happy in my bubble. I love the analogy of the bubble. I agree with you, we need to stay aware of our energy and how that energy is impacting our self and all those whom we touch. We are energy and we can choose to manage our energy in a way that ensures that our bubble is a positive place to be and radiates of peace and love.

  10. *smiles wide at the comments left here* When I started LABL I had a vision of sharing and exchanging stories, feelings, and words with people I admire and want to learn more from. Thanks to all of you for seeing something in my writing, the wacky way I see things at times and for joining in with your views. You have all made my bubble overflow with positive, supportive energy and I look forward to, hopefully, doing the same on your posts that hit a chord with me. Humble thanks from a grateful blogger in a really jammin’ cool bubble! :)

the ways that you listed to keep my energy bubble happy made me start to get misty……..hmm, maybe I am depriving myself of them and feeling sad about it? Whatchathink? Seriously, I have had to reach within myself more lately, as I have been having emotional reactions to things that I wouldn’t usually. I mean I would feel ” a way” about them, but not so upset, so angry. I found that a person that I supervise at work, who I believe is struggling with mental health issues, is pulling me into an unhealthy dynamic. Time for some self care and reflection.

Hugs, girlfriend! Your blogs make me think, smile and reflect. All good stuff! You have a gift!

  12. *warm smiles* Thank you so much for the kind words, sweet one. I think it is great that you are aware of the need for some extra loving self care right now to keep your own personal energy stable and strong while you are in this stressful situation. Sending only the very best wishes your way..xo
