Will you go with the flow
Giving the love that is in your heart
So that others may be carried in its current
~
Will you honor a dream
By taking a leap towards it
Closing the distance with bold action and intent
~
Will you meet happiness where it lives
Accepting only the present moment as real
And knowing all you need for contentment resides there
~
Will you accept your own love
And care for yourself in a way that reflects that
By nurturing your spirit from an endless source of respect
~
Will you let it slide
The imagined slight, the minor irritation
And trade it for the peace that comes from a mind at ease
~
Will you give back
For no other reason than
It is simply the person you choose to be
~
Will you walk in faith
Knowing All That Is lives inside you
And it is inconceivable to think you are ever alone
~
Will you dwell in possibility
Where imagination takes over
And doors open before you even knock
~
Will you breathe from your belly
Filling yourself with a deep inhale
And releasing what no longer serves you
~
Will you allow today to unfold before you
By letting each moment be what it is
Without having the need to change or control it
~
Will you?
~

Gorgeous, Emma, gorgeous!
I love the way your words took shape physically on the page, too.
Your post has given me a lot to ponder, I really like it.
When I read, “Will you breathe from your belly…,” I literally took a deep belly breath and felt so good. Thanks for this, and apologies for my recent absence. You’re an inspiring muse and I appreciate you.

Thank YOU, gorgeous one.
This was inspired my how many choices we have in a day, from breathing to riding the waves. So much seems to happen “to” us but our “will” power is what I dig focusing on.
Be absent as often as needed but, always come back please. You are special…xo
Emma, this is such a strong, powerful, beautiful poem. – and I say YES to it – Yes I Will.

So many beautiful lines, but this I love the most:
… “trade it for the peace that comes from a mind at ease”
That’s a pretty good one if I say so myself! *lol* Thanks, J.D., much appreciated.
Taking a deep breath can mean all the difference! I have been quite stressed lately and to calm myself down I always try to take a nice deep breath from my belly

Thank you, Stacey. I try very hard to remember that the moment we are in has all we need within it and to embrace that moment instead of looking to the past or projecting to the future. You are most welcome. Blessings to you.
Emma,
I love the entire poem and especially this:
Will you let it slide
The imagined slight, the minor irritation
And trade it for the peace that comes from a mind at ease
I’m struggling with the present moment…oh dear.
Thank you, Tess…and perhaps by the time I type this your moment has shifted to a better one. *smiles and crosses fingers for you…toes too!*
Very very beautiful. There is something deep in each stanza … lots to think about here.
“Accepting only the present moment as real” this one is tough for a planner like me. But, I do know the joy of being in the moment … really in it. Not rushing it or thinking about other things … those are special times.
thanks for sharing this.
Thanks so much, sweet lady.
I find when I can stay in that moment, life is much simpler. It isn’t always easy though. I like to plan too so I get just what you are saying. I try to remember the future doesn’t need me but the present moment does.
Emma,
How beautiful! I wish I had such a way with words. My favorite lines:
“By letting each moment be what it is
Without having the need to change or control it”
Thank you for blessing us with this poem.
